Our Food
We offer a wide variety of fish including sole, halibut and hake (see Catch of the Day board) caught locally and brought to us fresh every morning by Watts fishmonger on the South Pier in Oban. Our cod and haddock come from healthier, more sustainable fish stocks in Norwegian waters and is MSC (Marine Science Conservation) approved. We believe that sourcing and freshness are the key - within a day our local catch is caught, filleted and served to our customers.
In the restaurant, as well as enjoying Oban's "Best Fish Supper", there is a great choice of other dishes to try like locally caught squat lobsters in our own famous recipe batter, house fish pie, salt and pepper squid and the freshest of seafood platters. Locally sourced haggis, black and white puddings and our very best hand made beefburgers are incorporated into the menu alongside our seafood. Our specials board reflects seasonal fish such as herring and mackerel.
